PMK supports TU Dresden Robotik AG

The TU Dresden Robotik AG is a registered association, that exists since 2003 at the faculty of Electronics and Information Technologies of Dresden University. The "TuRAG" association's goal is to provide future engineers with practical experience parallel to their studies, and takes part in the international "eurobot" competition since 2006.

At "eurobot" 250 to 300 teams compete every year with a complete and autonomous robot. Every year there is a new task to solve by the teams, competing on the 2 x 3 m playground against each other, with 90 seconds to complete the given task. The motive of 2014 was called "PrehistoBot". So for example the robots had to catch Mammothdecoys with nets and search and collect fruits from trees.

"For this purpose we build our robots "Eddie" and Crash", wich we have to construct mechanically and electronically befor we can start programming. With the two robots we achieved 2nd rank in the german national pre-selection.

At the WorldCup, wich took place 7th and 8th June 2014 in Dresden, we were at second place after 5 rounds, but eleminated from the last 16 participants." told us Mr. Kaja.

PMK wishes Team Turag all the best for their future and is happy to see, PMK probes contributing to the effort.
